In addition to basic core modules, professional mathematics in engineering, engineering mechanics, computer science will be the additional core modules. Core modules includes: Theoretical mechanics, material mechanics, continuum mechanics, computational mechanics, experimental mechanics, computer theory and operating systems, programming, computer graphics and image processing, interface technology, database technology and object-oriented program design. Practical aspects of the professional learning of computer software and development mainly focus on training students to use computers and the ability to use cutting edge engineering software.
The professional development through firmly taught modules in mathematical, mechanical, computational and laboratory, which suitable for individuals where aim to use computational engineering technology in further research and development. At the end of four years taught-based professional training, students will be award Bachelor of Science degree; some graduates will go directly for postgraduate studies. Others can join in civil, mechanical, aerospace, computers and other industry enterprises, companies, research institutions who engaged in engineering software research and development. Ø Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering including human life and production activities related to construction, road engineering, bridge engineering, railway engineering, tunnel engineering, hydraulic engineering, port engineering, drainage engineering, and municipal engineering so on.
Ministry of Higher Education enacted in 1998 that civil engineering covering: building construction, transport engineering, mining construction and urban construction. Civil Engineering Department of Sichuan University includes three disciplines: ①building construction, ②transport construction engineering (roads and bridges), ③ project management. In later years, students according to their own research interests and job expectation choose their main professional majors. Students achieve the required credits grantee Bachelor of Engineering degree.

Ø Urban planning
According to the Ministry of Higher Education professional training requirements in urban planning, the course mainstream based on urban planning, arts, engineering, project management, humanities and social science knowledge, students accept professional urban planning design training, where includes city planning and computer aided design skills, which allows them to demonstrate their ability in urban and regional planning, landscape and project management skills.
Ø Landscape Architecture
The degree focus on landscape architectural design theory and methods, taught modules based on solid foundation of natural science, humanities and social sciences with comprehensive foreign language capabilities; Students require to develop the professional understanding in landscape resource science, geographic information systems, ecological environmental protection, landscape art, art design, landscape engineering, landscape architecture design, landscape gardening, landscape design garden plants, building codes and related regulations;
Students will also requires to grasp landscape planning and design theory professional skills, land planning and management, and landscape-related natural science, culture and the arts; in addition, the ability to use computers (including the basic ability of CAD and GIS operation of the initial capacity); literature search, data query of the basic method will also be developed under daily basis.
Ø Environmental Engineering
The degree suitable for student, who plans, after graduation, to work in environmental pollution control, environmental planning and management disciplines.
