Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Luo Zhaohui met with all members of the delegation in Islamabad
Pakistani Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Masood Khalid met all members of the delegation in the capital Islamabad
At the invitation of Pakistan government, on May 14, a delegation made up of 20 excellent students of Sichuan University set off for a one-week academic exchange visit to Pakistan. The delegation is led by Vice President Shi Jian with the escort of relevant personnel from the Center for Pakistan Studies, Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and Student Affairs Office. The visit aims to promote exchanges between the youth and college students as well as the educational development of both countries.
Shortly before the departure from China of the delegation, Pakistan ambassador to China Mr. Masood Khan met all members of the delegation in Pakistan embassy in Beijing and wished the visit a complete success.
Upon arrival in Islamabad, the delegation first went to visit Mr. Luo Zhaohui, ambassador of Chinese embassy in Pakistan. Ambassador Luo introduced the current situation of Pakistan to the delegation, reviewed the history of friendly exchanges between the two countries and looked into the future of China-Pakistan relations. Luo gave full affirmation to the efforts by Sichuan University in promoting China-Pakistan education exchanges and the endeavors by South Asia Research Institute of Sichuan University and encouraged the students of the delegation to contribute positive efforts to China-Pakistan friendly exchanges.
Later, the delegation went to visit Pakistan Vice Prime Minister Mr. Masood Khalid and his delegation in Pakistan Foreign Ministry with the attendance of Mr. Yang Linhai, cultural counselor of Chinese Embassy in Pakistan
