On the morning of May 11th, Mr. Michael Hardman, Vice-President of the University of Utah, led a high-level delegation to visit Sichuan University. Vice President Yan Shijing met with the guests accompanied by relevant personnel of SCU.
During this meeting, Prof. Yan Shijing said that both sides were historically famous universities; the Confucius Institute founded by both universities had a good momentum of development, presenting a bigger room of cooperation in the future. He hoped that the two universities could further underpin the exchange of practical curriculum, innovate the joint training model of students, broaden the cooperation areas and establish a friendly, stable and sustainable development relationship.
Mr. Michael Hardman said that Sichuan University was an important partner of the University of Utah; the teachers and students of the University of Utah underlined the need to establish close ties with SCU. The University of Utah has a strong strength in library construction. He hoped that the two universities could further strengthen exchanges and establish cooperation relations in more fields in the future.
