Nobel Prize Winner and Masters in Chemistry Bring a Chemical Feast to SCU Faculties and Students
  October 27th – 28th, a series of academic activities were organized to celebrate the 110th Anniversary of the Chemistry discipline of Sichuan University. During the event, our university was visited by the following masters in Chemistry: Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn, French chemist reputed as "Father of Supramolecular Chemistry" and winner of the 1987 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Prof. Amos B. Smith III, editor-in-chief of Organic Letters and professor of the University of Pennsylvania, Prof. Gregory C. Fu, associate editor-in-chief of Journal of American Chemistry Society and professor of California Institute of Technology, Prof. Scott J. Miller, editor-in-chief of Journal of Organic Chemistry and professor of Yale University, Prof. Tamio Hayashi, editor-in-chief (Japan Division) of Tetrahedron: Asymmetry and professor of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, etc. They delivered 5 academic reports at Chemistry Hall 321.
