Prof. Dr. Guo got her bachelor, master, and doctor of science degree in Medicinal Chemistry from the former West China University of Medical Sciences in 1983, 1990 and 1994 respectively. She had been an associated professor in Medical Science at Sichuan University in 1995, and a full professor and PhD supervisor of West China School of Pharmacy in Sichuan University since 2003. From 2000 to 2001 she was a post-doctor fellow in Tuebingen University in Germany.

Prof. Dr. Guo is engaged in teaching and research work. She has lectures in  Organic Chemistry, Organic technology, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Pharmaceutical Technology, Bioorganic Chemistry , the Principles of Medicinal Chemistry, Biomedicinal Chemistry, The Chemistry of Drug Intermediates , and Refined Organic Synthesis Technology. In addition, she is the person responsible for the construction of the provincial elaborate course in Medicinal Chemistry and co-author of the books such as Organic Chemistry , Medicinal Chemistry (both are the Textbooks of National Planning) and Introduction To Life Science.
Research Achievements
Prof. Dr. Guo focuses on the design and synthesis of novel dendrimers and aggregation-like peptides, and studies on targeting drugs . Prof. Dr. Guo had been in charge of projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China and Scientific Research Foundation of Ministry of Education, Youth Foundation of Sichuan University and the funding projects of introducing talented staffs and the abroad-returned personnel for academic and profession. She has more than 90 published research papers .
