Founded in December 2001, College of Software Engineering (CSE) is one of the 35 national experimental software engineering colleges approved by the State Ministry of Education and the former State Development and Planning Commission.

　　College of Software Engineering consists of three departments along with a number of labs that carry out teaching and research missions. The three departments are Department of Network and Information Security, Department of Software Engineering and Department of Digital Entertainment. The labs are Software Engineering Professional Lab, Software Engineering Open Lab and Information Security Lab.

　　The college has a competent teaching force and more than 50% of the teaching faculty are PhD degree holders. To make the students keep abreast with the latest technological trend, experts from universities and companies of America, Canada, France, India, etc are invited to deliver lectures and classes to the students.

　　The college offers hands-on, applied programs of study emphasizing the application of engineering and computer principles to solving complex problems. Through collaboration with IT companies and government departments and setting up a special Bud Foundation, CSE provides the students strong opportunities for real-world work experience. The college also provides three computer laboratories and one library with 7*13 hours access for the exclusive use of our students and faculty.
