Three of our students stood out from 45,000 participators and won prizes in 2009 China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling (CUMCM). Their names are: Zhang Haibo, the First Prize; Xiao Yan, the Second Prize and Qiao Xinke, the Third Prize.

China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling is a national annual contest in China for undergraduates. It's also the most widespread out-of-class scientific activities for undergraduates in China’s universities. In 2004, 6881 teams from 724 institutions in China (including Hong Kong SAR) participated in the contest, and in 2009, 15042 teams from 1137 institutions in China participated in the contest.
