Two student teams, Cookie and JSTC from CSE have won the Second and Third Prizes in the 2010 National Collegiate Information Security Contest, which was held in Harbin this summer.
Organized by the Steering Committee on Information Security in Higher Education under the Ministry of Education of China, the 2010 National Collegiate Information Security Contest aims to promote the knowledge of information security, and cultivate innovation ability and team spirit among the students. The contest started in March and lasted for 5 months.
Out of 110 teams from more than 40 universities in China, 4 Year-4 students from CSE: Xiao guoqiao, Zhang Wei, Yao Jinhua and Zhong Cunwei have won the Second Prize with their project “AegisShield--Network Behavior Monitoring System Based on Multi-Core Processing Platform” which was supervised by Dr. Liang Gang.
Another team JSTC comprised of Jia Qiang, Sun Keqin, Tian Hui and Chen Shuting, supervised by Hu Xiaoqin, has been awarded the Third Prize for their project “The Retrieving and Self -Destruction of Data Based on Android Kernel Level”
