CCS is pleased to welcome Prof. Guo Minyi from Shanghai Jiaotong University as a visiting professor. On August 13, a ceremony was held to confer Prof. Guo Minyi the visiting professorship. Vice Dean of CCS, Professor Zhu Min hosted the ceremony. Dean of CCS, Prof. Zhang Yi, Party Secretary Tai Mingsong and some teaching faculty and students were present.

Professor Guo Minyi received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from University of Tsukuba, Japan. Before 2000, Dr. Guo had been a research scientist of NEC Corp., Japan. He had been a professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, The University of Aizu, Japan. Currently Dr. Guo is head and distinguished professor of Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University, China. Prof. Guo has also served as the director of Embedded and Pervasive Computing Research Center, Shanghai Jiaotong University. Prof. Guo got the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2007.
