Recently, the 7th Standing Council of Sichuan Youth Association for Science and Technology was held in Chengdu, and the 7th group leader of Sichuan Youth Association for Science and Technology was elected through democratic procedures. Prof Dai Feng, dean of the college, was elected as the president.

Founded in 1993, Sichuan Youth Association for Science and Technology is an academic mass organization with independent legal personality, which is voluntarily organized by young scientists and technologists in Sichuan and approved by Sichuan Association for Science and Technology and registered by Sichuan Civil Affairs Department. It is mainly engaged in academic, popularisation of science, study tours, talent recommendation, project declaration and other business activities.
