On 13th September, the college held the opening ceremony for the new postgraduate students of 2024 in 101 classroom of 2 area of Graduate School in Wangjiang Campus. Hua Guochun, Secret

ary of the Party Committee of the College, Dai Feng, President of the College, Li Yunzhang and Liu Min, Vice Presidents of the College, Chu Yinghao, Chairman of the Labour Union, deans of all departments and deputy deans in charge of postgraduate students, representatives of the faculty members, postgraduate academic staff, counsellors and all the freshmen of the class of 2024 attended the Ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Sun Bolei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee of the College.

The ceremony opened with the majestic national anthem. Hua Guochun delivered a speech to warmly welcome all the new students. He used a set of figures to link up the college's today, the students' tomorrow and the grand vision ofbuilding a socialist modernized country in a comprehensive way, so as to inspire the students to set up ambitious aspirations, explore cross-cutting sciences(interdisciplinary/multydisciplinary subjects in science), and promote good morals. He said that students should be innovative and dare to take on responsibilities, closely integrate their personal ideals with the development of the country, and contribute to the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

The opening ceremony ended successfully with warm applause. A new journey has begun and a new chapter is waiting to be written. The College expects all 2024 postgraduates to continue to write a beautiful new chapter of their lives in the coming study period, undaunted by challenges and striving to make progress.
