With the arrival of autumn and gentle breeze, 348 new undergraduates of Class 2024 and 13 international students from Bangladesh, Morocco, Malaysia, etc. gathered in the College of Architecture and Environment. At 14:30 on 11 September, the opening ceremony of Class 2024 undergraduates of the College was held in Room 407, Block C of the Comprehensive Building of Jiangan Campus. Hua Guochun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Dai Feng, President of the College, Lan Zhongren, Vice President of the College, Heads of Departments, representatives of alumni, representatives of teachers, counsellors of undergraduates of Class 2024, counsellors of international students, and all the new undergraduates of Class 2024 participated in the Opening Ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Sun Bolei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee of the College.

In his speech, Professor Dai Feng, Dean of the College, warmly welcomed the arrival of the new undergraduates of the Class of 2024 on behalf of all the teachers and students of the College, and expressed his vision and expectation for the growth and development of the new undergraduates of the Class of 2024 from three aspects: deep cultivation of professionalism, concern for the society, and all-round development.
