The Business Administration College’s opening ceremony was ceremoniously held for the 2011 new students at Jiang An campus in the afternoon of Sep.12. The Secretary of the Party committee Pro. Yang Jiang, the executive vice-president Pro. Xu Jiuping, the vice-secretary of the Party committee Pro. Zhang Liming, the vice-president Pro. Gu Xin, the vice-president Pro. Mi Dechao, the vice-president Pro. Deng Fumin, the Chief of the labor union Pro. Zhong Sheng, the directors of each department, the deputy of the teachers and the related workers took part in the opening ceremony. The ceremony was presided by the vice-secretary of the college Party committee Pro. Li Xiaofeng.
The ceremony began with the national anthem. The college’s executive vice-president Pro. Xu Jiuping gave a brilliant address. He introduced the centuries-old history, the profound humanitarian implications and the scientific educational attitude of Sichuan university. He encouraged students to integrate into the environment as soon as possible and grow up quickly. He also hoped that they would not only learn the knowledge but also pursue the truth to make contribution to the country and the society in the future.
And next, the deputy of the teachers Pro. Luo Li talked about the university life with the students. She encouraged them to confirm their target, and realized their dream through their effort. And she also advised them to pay attention to the new development of the area and profession, and lay emphasis on the integration of theory and practice.
At last, the deputies of higher grade members and new students expressed their thoughts and gains respectively, and thanked the teachers’ edification.
The ceremony was ended in the warm applause. It was full of the vigorous, positive and harmonious atmosphere. It promoted the communication between teachers and students. It also provided a specific orientation for new students to help them integrate into their college life quickly and chase their dream in the future.
