On 18th and 19th of December, 2018, the Doctoral Academic Workshop, which is hosted by Sichuan University Graduate School, and undertaken by Sichuan University Business School were held in 113 room, Business School. Deputy Director Dr. Du Ying, Deputy Dean Prof.Wu Peng from Business School attended this workshop and extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests respectively. More than 150 experts, scholars, teachers and students participated in this workshop, among whom over 20 experts and scholars from USA, New Zealand, Australia, India, China Taiwan etc. have been invited to make presentations showing their research findings in their own fields.
To begin with, Deputy Director Dr. Du Ying from Training Office of Sichuan University Graduate School, on behalf of Graduate School, delivered a speech. Firstly, she extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests participating in this workshop; then, she briefly introduced the Graduate School and she wished the successful completion of this workshop. Finally, she hoped that this workshop can promote academic exchanges in relevant fields, activate innovative thinking, and give impetus to the sustainable development of business development.
Then, Deputy Dean Prof. Wu Peng from Business School delivered a speech. Firstly, on behalf of Business School, he extended a warm welcome to the professors and doctoral students and expressed sincere congratulations to this workshop. Then, he briefly introduced Business School and emphasized the importance of this workshop. He indicated that this activity would not only promote the academic exchanges among the experts and scholars, but also would broaden the students’ horizon, and it was a great chance for students to know the cutting-edge research of business and enlighten academic inspiration.
The Doctoral Academic Workshop of Sichuan University aims to build a high-level academic platform, bring together outstanding young talents at home and abroad, and carry out communications and discussions on the hot-spot research areas and industries about the current situation. The workshop was developed in the forms of speech and questions, with over 20 experts and scholars sharing their research findings which combine the business hot spots and their research interests. Completed with full success at 5pm of 19th, December, this workshop is highly praised by both the teachers and students at Business School. What’s more, this workshop has played an indispensable role in broadening academic horizons, inspiring academic inspirations and promoting academic exchanges.
