CEO EMBA High-level Course of After-disaster Reconstruction Begins
The opening ceremony of CEO EMBA High-level Course of After-disaster Reconstruction was held on 11th, May 2009, in boardroom 60# of Business School of Sichuan University.
The participants attending this meeting are Prof. Li Hong, executive Vice-dean of Sichuan University, Prof. Wang Xiyao, vice-dean of Business Development School of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Prof. Yang Jiang and Xu Jiuping, executive Vice-dean and Vice-dean of Business School of Sichuan University, Prof. Li Wei, representative of Business School of Sichuan University, and all the workers of training center of Business School. Prof. Xu Jiuping hosted this meeting.
In the ceremony, executive Vice-dean Li Hong awarded this project very highly, and gave thanks to the three supporters of this project. Meanwhile, she stressed that this project was not the development in primary level but the deeper rearrangement and advancement than before. She also presented her own wish that every student can achieve more and more in view, theory and capability. Prof. Wang Xiyao and Yang Jiang also had a wonderful speech. On behalf of other teachers, Prof. Li Wei said that they would contribute their intellectual support to reconstruction project.
The CEO EMBA High-level Course of After-disaster Reconstruction wa s co-sponsored by Business School of Sichuan University, Business Development School and Peter Drucker School of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Through professional choice, more than 37 entrepreneurs from more than 10 cities got into the class. These entrepreneurs would spend half a year on studying 8 modulate courses, such likemanagement philosophy, big-love marketing, risk control and investment and financing strategy, in order to find out the problem and corresponding solutions during after-disaster construction. This training class is another support project of Business School of Sichuan University and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to the disaster area.
This year is anniversary after “5.12 Earthquake” in Sichuan University, which proves the training course more meaningful. In one aspect, it presented the responsibility of three universities, who also would contribute to reconstruction of disaster area; in other aspect, the entrepreneurs can study professional knowledge of enterprise management, which would lay first stone for the following construction.
The economic development of Sichuan Province is closely related to the development of private enterprises, while the later one closely related to contribution and strive of managers. The aim of this project is to help private enterprises to overcome the current difficulties, make better development, settle down the locative problem of employment, create more values for society and fortune for nation, contribute their own strength for economic development of the disaster area. In doing that, they can change the transformation capability to manufacturing function, and raise the self-help capability of enterprises in the disaster area.
